Description:
Life has changed a lot in the 21st century. People need jobs to make a good living. The constant change in our society makes children want to learn about the jobs they can get when they grow up. The aim of our project is to help students aged 10-15 find the best job they can, according to their interests and skills and to develop the skills they need for the jobs they want. We use English as a main language of communication within the project group and English and the partners’ mother tongues to disseminate the project in our countries. We use digital media and computers to record and use our arts and crafts skills to prepare the materials for the project. We visit our students’ parents’ workplaces and interview people to find details about their jobs. We write interviews and create a word cloud of the jobs, make the list of top-5 jobs popular among the students of each team and compare the results and post on the project blog, for dissemination. Our project is a cross-curricular one. We disseminate the activities on our blog.

Objectives
The main aim of our project is to help students aged 10-19 find the best job they can, according to their interests and skills and to develop the skills they need for the jobs they want. Our students will improve their English and ICT, as well as their arts and crafts skills. They will learn how to interview a person, describe a job, illustrate it (drawing, photo, etc.).

 Work procedure
Teachers communicate in English via Twinspace, email, Facebook, etc. The Romanian team starts the project blog, which will be our diary, a means of dissemination and evaluation. All partner teachers publish the materials on the blog. On the 26thof September, to celebrate the European Day of Languages, all teams present their schools and countries on the blog. We”ll make a list of top-5 jobs popular among the students of each team, compare the results, make a model interview to be used to interview people about their jobs. They will take photos/video the visits; select the project logo. Each team will come with a proposal and the most interesting one will be chosen (Oct-Nov).In December and April we send greeting cards to our peers. In January - April we interview the famous people/celebrities/ authorities we can find on Facebook. In May-June we make an exhibition with the photos/drawings and the arts and crafts, materials they make about the visits. June is feedback time for our project. In December - May we can meet on Skype.

Expected results:
We’ll make the project blog, which will be our diary, as well as a means of dissemination and evaluation. All the materials made by the students from each team will be published on the blog. These materials can be used by other teachers for English or/and the counseling classes or other school activities.
